Background

INKOnHair Clinic is a private yet affordable scalp micropigmentation clinic in Clifton, a leafy suburb of the UK’s South West city of Bristol. Scalp micropigmentation is an aesthetics procedure used for the concealment of hair loss and visible scalp markings. INKon provides treatments for a full range of alopecias and scar camouflaging and clinic founder Tom May is INKon’s leading technician.

Tom’s mission is to provide natural looking hairlines resulting in an alleviation of psychological suffering through hair loss and thinning. His chosen trade of Scalp Micropigmentation is a holistic approach to hair loss restoration which is non-surgical, and comes with guaranteed results.

Who is Tom May?

After suffering hair loss in his late twenties, Tom received a number of hair transplants himself. Albeit they were relatively successful, transplant surgery doesn’t come with the guarantee of a wholly favorable outcome.

The hair loss journey continues to evolve and the result is visible scalp scarring from transplants at later dates. After suffering from an ongoing psychological pain resulting from hair loss, it wasn’t until 20XX that Tom discovered his definitive answer to the thinning difficulties he was experiencing. And it proved to be an important moment.

Having undergone his very own Scalp Micropigmentation treatment at the time he was searching for career enhancement, he realised SMP was the professional road he needed to follow. Combining a strong calling for the medical profession and a desire to help others suffering from hair loss, Tom began his own training in SMP and in 2017 became fully qualified.

Fast forward to the current day and Tom is administering treatments on a daily basis and the diary is fully booked up.

Does he have regrets? Maybe only that he didn’t discover the benefits of Scalp Micropigmentation sooner?

Also occasionally referred to as pointillism, the goal is to create a natural appearance with character and definition.
