Brown pigment is intended for clients of very light skin tone (Fitzpatrick scale 1-2) and light hair color (blonde, ginger, light brown).
For most of your Deep Brown pigment clients we recommend using a dilution # between #8 – #20, depending on the lightness of the skin tone and hair color. If the client is extremely light skin dilute towards the higher end of the range (#14 – #20), if they have some warmth or redness to their skin dilute towards the lower end of range (#8 – #14).
Example Use Case 1: Fitzpatrick 1 with light brown hair color
Where previously you may have used a Folicule Black Pigment #22-#24, now you can alternatively use Folicule Deep Brown Pigment #14 – #18. To mix a Deep Brown #14 you would use 1 ml of pigment + 14 ml of water.
Example Use Case 2: Fitzpatrick 2 with medium brown hair color
Where previously you may have used a Folicule Black Pigment #20, now you can alternatively use Folicule Deep Brown Pigment #10. To mix a Deep Brown #10 you would use 1 ml of pigment + 10 ml of water.
Remember to continually stir pigment during treatment as separation can occur. We recommend diluting with distilled water.
You will enjoy the slightly warmer brown tone and low viscosity + easy to use for SMP. Remember this is still heavily carbon based pigment with added warmth from the brown (red and yellow pigments).
